The Azabujuban Noryo Festival 2026, organized by the Azabujuban Shopping Street Promotion Association, took place over two days on August 22 and 23, with THE LIVELY TOKYO AZABUJUBAN joining the festivities once again.
Despite some unfortunate circumstances—including the festival being called off midway through the first day due to severe weather—we marked our fourth consecutive year and fourth time participating as a member of the local shopping street association.
At our festival food stall, we once again served two of our popular skewers: lamb and beef tongue. With so many renowned restaurants in Azabujuban, our Food & Beverage team put great care into every detail, from preparation to the final recipe, refining last year’s versions to make them even better.
This year, we also added wine to the menu, carefully selected to pair with our skewers. We offered half-price refills, which encouraged many guests to come back for another glass.
We also introduced a new initiative this year by opening our second-floor LIVELY KITCHEN, normally used as our breakfast venue, to guests who purchased food and drinks from our festival stall.
It offered a place to step away from the heat and bustle of the festival, cool down while enjoying food and drinks, or simply take a moment to plan where to go next. Inside LIVELY KITCHEN, DJs took turns behind the turntables, while our dedicated bartenders served original cocktails such as the Earl Grey Highball, along with sours made with freshly squeezed fruit.
Compared with the lounge, which we opened to festival visitors last year, LIVELY KITCHEN offered a brighter and more open space. It quickly became a popular spot where guests could enjoy food and drinks without losing the excitement of the festival, and the venue was bustling throughout both days.

During the festival, we also brought our regular lounge happy hour to LIVELY KITCHEN, creating more opportunities for guests to connect with and enjoy the festival.
In the years to come, we will continue to contribute to the local community while continuing to evolve in our own unique way as THE LIVELY, so that our guests can enjoy the festival to the fullest.
