Inside THE LIVELY 7DAYS: A Week of Music, Food & Art for Our 7th Anniversary
THE LIVELY FUKUOKA HAKATA turned seven this summer.
We owe it all to our guests, who have supported us along the way.
Thank you so much, as always.
To celebrate, we held “THE LIVELY 7DAYS,” a seven-day event running from Sunday, July 26 to Saturday, August 1, 2026.
This anniversary celebration was a special project connecting the three cities of THE LIVELY brand: Azabujuban in Tokyo, Honmachi in Osaka, and Hakata in Fukuoka.
Each hotel brought its own personality to the party, with music, food, art, and more.

We Kicked Things Off in Fukuoka!
On opening night, “SOUND SAKE STAND” featured a very special guest: DJ HASEBE, a true legend of Japan’s R&B and hip-hop scene.
It was a lively start to the week. With music loved across generations, some guests chatted with drinks in hand, while others swayed to the beat, each enjoying the night in their own way.
We also served limited-edition food made just for the 7th anniversary, so guests could enjoy great music, drinks, and bites in that unmistakable THE LIVELY style.
So many people joined us that the night felt like the perfect kickoff to our anniversary week.

On the food side, we offered special dishes you could only try during the anniversary week. Chef Nakamura of THE LIVELY FUKUOKA HAKATA and Chef Nishiura of THE LIVELY OSAKA HONMACHI each created limited-edition menu items!
Each dish was packed with the chef’s personal touch, and guests loved trying them.

These creations from the chefs of east and west paired perfectly with drinks, and they were a hit with guests.
As another highlight of THE LIVELY 7DAYS, we welcomed top bartender Hiroyuki Ito on the evening of Day 6. He has won numerous cocktail competitions across Japan, and he served a limited-edition cocktail created just for this event.
The room was full of smiling guests looking for that one special drink, and it was a night none of us will forget!

Then, on the final day, Saturday, August 1, we wrapped up the celebration with “Heisei Retro Deco-Mori Night”!
Inspired by two trends that have been getting a lot of attention lately, “Heisei retro” (think Japan in the ’90s and 2000s) and “deco-mori” (piling on the decorations), we prepared everything from music and art to food and drinks.
In a world that blends nostalgia with something fresh, only THE LIVELY could deliver a night this emotional and exciting.

Here’s a look at the night, broken down into DJs, food and drinks, and art.
【DJ】
Our lineup included YonYon, a singing DJ who is popular in Japan and abroad, and PELI, who has a devoted following for her style that blends music and fashion. DJs from the Fukuoka scene joined in too.
Each DJ brought their own flavor, filling the venue with Heisei-era sounds.

【FOOD & DRINK】
For food, we served playful limited-edition dishes on the theme of “Heisei meets local favorites”!
The kitchen teams from Osaka and Fukuoka created eye-catching “deco-mori original dishes” inspired by each city’s famous foods and landmarks.

For drinks, we offered a “Fruit Mojito Punch” that guests got to decorate themselves!
Guests piled on nostalgic toppings that defined the Heisei years, like nata de coco and tapioca pearls, and built the drink just how they liked it.
This hands-on drink got everyone talking with friends and family, with comments like “What should I add?” and “I haven’t seen this in years!” Making it together was a big hit!

【ART】
Artists from a wide range of fields came together for the night, with live performances and live painting.
By combining their own styles and ideas, they helped create THE LIVELY’s very own “Heisei Retro Deco-Mori Night”!
Koujo Tsuru, an artist who works at the crossroads of contemporary art and calligraphy, gave a powerful performance where music and art came together.

His dynamic calligraphy changed the whole mood of the room, and guests couldn’t take their eyes off him.
His session with DJ NaNaGo* was perfectly in sync, with the music and the calligraphy answering each other and the crowd getting louder and louder.

SAINT JORDI FLOWERS THE DECORATOR FUKUOKA put on a live flower art performance based on the theme of “Heisei.” Their polished style felt nostalgic, yet somehow new.
Floral pieces full of beauty and strength took shape one after another, blending familiar, nostalgic colors with a modern sensibility. It was a stunning performance that captivated the room.

In the live painting, two artists each put their own take on “Heisei” onto the canvas in real time.

Watching the artworks come together right in front of you gave the night the special energy that only live performances have.
The venue also featured photo panels by Hitomi Pakuchi and signage art by Rena Hayashi.

We also displayed works by Hayato Teraguchi, an artist who makes art from discarded materials on the theme of the “inner self,” and Shu Tani, a creator who focuses on custom lettering and graphic design.

A playful Heisei vibe met modern art, and something fresh was born from all that nostalgia. The space captured the “Heisei retro” spirit in a way only THE LIVELY can.
With each artist’s personality and creativity coming together, and with music, art, and space blending into one, it was a night you could only experience here.
We hope this recap brings back the glow of the night for those who joined us, and gives those who couldn’t make it a little taste of the energy and atmosphere.

At THE LIVELY FUKUOKA HAKATA, we’ll keep hosting events where music, food, and art spark new connections between people.
We want to be a place where people, information, and opportunities from around the world come together, and to offer experiences you can’t find anywhere else, ones that go beyond just staying the night.
What new encounters and discoveries are waiting for us next?
Stay tuned for our next event!
Our whole team looks forward to seeing you again at THE LIVELY FUKUOKA HAKATA.
