Free Sustainable Fashion Show “RAILWAY TO RUNWAY” at Shibuya Bridge on November 30.
Your Old Clothes Will Shine on the Runway!
Collecting Secondhand Clothes for Costume Production Until September 30
HOTEL GRAPHY SHIBUYA is teaming up with Tokyu Corporation as part of an area management project to host “RAILWAY TO RUNWAY” — a one-of-a-kind fashion show where sustainability meets creativity. The event will take place on Sunday, November 30, 2025, at Shibuya Bridge.
In preparation, we’re collecting secondhand clothes until September 30 to be transformed into original costumes for the runway. Your donations will quite literally become part of the show!
The event will also feature digital creator Maika Matsuyama as a runway model, alongside a vibrant lineup of workshops and pop-up shops where guests can explore fashion, art, and new ideas around reuse and upcycling.
This is more than just a fashion show—it’s a community project that brings together creativity, sustainability, and the spirit of Shibuya.

From Tracks to Trends: Shibuya Bridge’s First Fashion Show “RAILWAY TO RUNWAY”
The stage for this one-of-a-kind fashion show will be Shibuya Bridge, built on the former elevated tracks of the Tokyu Toyoko Line. With the theme of “sustainability,” the event will spotlight the bold creativity of up-and-coming designer DOKKA vivid.
When people think of “sustainable fashion,” they often picture muted earth tones or soft greens. This show flips that image on its head. Models will take to the runway in vivid, colorful, and imaginative designs, showcasing a new side of sustainable style. Among them will be nine unique upcycled outfits crafted from secondhand clothing collected in Shibuya, alongside brand-new creations set to be unveiled at the Osaka-Kansai Expo.
To turn up the excitement even further, Tokyo-based digital creator Maika Matsuyama will appear as one of the models, adding her unique energy and presence to the show.
But the runway isn’t the only attraction. The event will also feature a DOKKA vivid pop-up shop and hands-on workshops, giving visitors the chance to engage directly with sustainability and creativity.
Held in this extraordinary space that once carried trains and now carries culture, the event lets guests experience the fusion of history, innovation, and community—a celebration of Shibuya’s past, present, and future.

Event Logo

For the first “RAILWAY TO RUNWAY,” an original logo was created by graphic designer Kenichi Kuromaru.
The two lines represent a “path” connecting top and bottom. This symbolizes the former railway tracks, the runway about to begin, and Shibuya Bridge as a place bridging generations and cultures. The letters placed over this “path” are designed to resemble railroad ties, showing the flow that draws people in while reflecting the runway that extends toward the audience. This logo is intended to become a lasting symbol of the event as it continues to evolve.

A new hostel hotel blending with the history of Shibuya. Standing right above the former Tokyu Toyoko Line tracks, the design and art of the hotel revive the memory of the old railway. Enjoy a unique stay that captures the spirit of Shibuya, surrounded by a free and creative atmosphere.
