“Book Lovers’ Stay in Yanesen! Explore 5 Unique Bookstores with HOTEL GRAPHY NEZU”
The Hotel’s Cafe Features a “Curated Shelf” of Books to Help You Feel Like You’re Traveling
Starting Wednesday, September 10, 2025, HOTEL GRAPHY NEZU invites you to celebrate autumn—the season of reading—with our special Yanesen Book Plan.
We’ve teamed up with five local bookstores across Yanaka, Nezu, and Sendagi (aka Yanesen), a neighborhood packed with charm and literary soul. This stay plan is all about slowing down, cozying up, and exploring hidden bookstores where every shelf tells a story.
Whether you’re wandering quiet alleys lined with old shops or curling up with your latest find back at the hotel, this is the perfect way to enjoy autumn in Tokyo.

■ Discover Yanesen and HOTEL GRAPHY NEZU
The Yanaka, Nezu, and Sendagi area—affectionately known as Yanesen—is one of Tokyo’s few neighborhoods where the charm of old Japan still lingers. Wandering through its maze-like streets, you’ll stumble upon quirky secondhand bookstores, nostalgic cafés, and cozy little shops filled with handpicked treasures. Just in this area alone, you’ll find more than ten unique used bookstores waiting to be explored.
Yanesen’s slower rhythm makes it the perfect place to step away from the city rush and enjoy a peaceful, unhurried afternoon.
Nestled right in the heart of this neighborhood is HOTEL GRAPHY NEZU, a hostel-style hotel that’s been a local favorite since opening in March 2013. With the concept “Meet Local. Feel Global.”, it’s designed as a hub where locals and travelers from around the world naturally cross paths. Here, you can enjoy the warmth of neighborhood life while still feeling connected to the global community.
■ Partnering with Five Yanesen Bookstores: A Stay Plan Made for Book Lovers
This autumn, HOTEL GRAPHY NEZU invites you to slow down and savor the season of reading with our special [Autumn Limited] Yanesen Book Plan.
For this unique stay, we’ve teamed up with five beloved bookstores in Yanesen—Ohraido Shoten, Kosho Horo, Tanaka Honya, Hiruneko BOOKS, and Yamane-do. From each shop’s carefully curated collection, five surprise books will be placed in your room, waiting to be discovered.
Every selection reflects the taste and personality of the bookstore owner. You might stumble across a title you’d never normally pick up, or feel a deeper connection to the thoughts behind their choice. It’s like a small journey within your trip—an unexpected encounter through books.
All of the participating bookstores are within walking or cycling distance of the hotel. If you fall in love with a book, why not stop by the shop that selected it? Meeting the owner in person can make the story behind the book feel even richer.
To make things even more special, each room comes with a guest notebook where you can jot down your impressions. Read the thoughts of past guests, leave behind your own reflections, and enjoy a quiet connection through the shared experience of reading.
This plan isn’t just about staying at a hotel—it’s about finding inspiration, connection, and a little surprise in every page.
Participating Bookstores: Ohraido Shoten, Kosho Horo, Tanaka Honya, Hiruneko BOOKS, and Yamane-do

Our hotel has a relaxed, free atmosphere, much like a hostel abroad. You can enjoy reading at your leisure in the lounge or on the terrace.
You’re also welcome to take the books from your room outside the hotel during your stay. While you can certainly enjoy reading at the hotel, you can also load the books onto a free rental bicycle, head out into the Yanaka, Nezu, and Sendagi area, and enjoy reading there. This is another way to enjoy this plan.
You can ride around on a bike and look for a shop that catches your eye. Then, you can enjoy a quiet read in an old-fashioned cafe with a slow pace or in the shade of a tree in a park with a nice autumn breeze. Reading on a trip will make your journey even richer.

■ A “Curated Shelf” with the Theme of Travel

This special stay plan is for hotel guests—but we didn’t want our café visitors to miss out! That’s why we’ve also set up a “curated shelf” inside our on-site café, featuring books handpicked by the Yanaka, Nezu, and Sendagi bookstores.
Each bookstore owner selected books based on their own interpretation of travel. For one, travel might mean the changing of seasons; for another, imagining life in a faraway place. The result is a diverse and fascinating collection that reflects many different perspectives on what it means to journey.
With many of our café guests coming from overseas, the atmosphere is relaxed and international. Grab a cup of coffee, lose track of time, and let yourself be carried away by a book—almost as if you’ve slipped abroad without ever leaving Tokyo.

Because so many of our guests come from overseas, our café menu is designed with everyone in mind. You’ll find vegan-friendly burgers and sweets made without animal products, so anyone can enjoy a delicious bite.
To go with your meal, we serve coffee made from carefully selected beans roasted by SOL’S COFFEE, a local favorite known for quality and care. Each cup of hand-drip coffee is brewed to order, ensuring rich aroma and flavor in every sip.
So grab a burger, sip a freshly brewed coffee, and sink into a good book. Our café is the perfect place to slow down, relax, and enjoy a cozy reading time.
