Hello! I’m Santos, staff member at HOTEL GRAPHY SHIBUYA.
Thanks to your daily support, HOTEL GRAPHY SHIBUYA celebrated its 1st anniversary this March. In this article, I’ll be reporting on our anniversary event “Hi!GRAPHY,” held on March 1!
Through art and food, the event offered guests and locals a chance to experience the charm of our hotel. The theme was “Social Graph.” We aimed to create a welcoming space where even first-time visitors could enjoy themselves and feel a sense of connection.

Entrance Decoration with RossFlowers
The string art at the entrance featuring the hotel’s logo was beautifully decorated with upcycled flowers for a limited time. This sustainable artwork celebrated our anniversary and welcomed guests as a symbol of the event. It not only brought a burst of color to the space but also became a popular photo spot! Many guests took commemorative photos to mark their visit.

Floral-Themed Window Painting Experience with an Artist
During the window painting experience, guests painted flowers on the windows next to the hotel entrance, guided by mural artist Lulu Kono. The theme was “Spring Awakening” and “Celebration.”
Each participant added their own touch to the artwork, creating a collaborative piece. In the evening, Lulu added her finishing touches, completing the piece as a single artwork.
Children were also welcome to join, making this a perfect memory-making experience for families.

Farm-Fresh Vegetables from Our Partner Growers
Thanks to the lovely weather that day, we set up a stand by the hotel entrance to sell fresh vegetables from the farms we partner with for our in-house restaurant.

Special Event-Only Restaurant Menu
For the event, our in-house restaurant Graphic Grill & Bar offered a special version of its popular burger, featuring a white bun and cheese to resemble a blank canvas. Guests could add colorful sauces like paint to complete their burger, turning it into a fun and creative dining experience.
We also served colorful café lattes made with coffee beans from “Sol’s Coffee,” a roastery based in Kuramae, Tokyo. These limited-special drinks were a huge hit.

Candle-Making Fun for Kids and Adults
We held a candle-making activity using leftover candles from our “Shibu-Minami Candle Night” event held in December.
This hands-on experience was easy to join and enjoyed by both children and adults.

Evening DJ Event “GRAPHY MIX NIGHT”
While the daytime was lively with local visitors and families, the energy turned up a notch with the start of our evening event “GRAPHY MIX NIGHT.”
Many staying guests joined in, and the hotel transformed into a vibrant party venue.
With three DJs playing different styles of music, guests danced and enjoyed the night in their own way. It was a night where the hotel came alive with rhythm and excitement—offering a special kind of evening only GRAPHY can provide.

Grilled Dishes and Special Cocktails from “Graphic Grill & Bar”
The evening was made even more exciting by the grilled specialties from Graphic Grill & Bar. With the live kitchen setting, guests could enjoy the aroma and energy of dishes cooked right in front of them. Finger foods were also served, allowing everyone to casually savor the flavors of our restaurant.

Special Activity “SOCIAL GRAPHING”
At reception, participants received wristbands marked with different letters. By using these letters to interact with others and connect the pieces, they completed a mystery word together. Even people meeting for the first time naturally started chatting, and the venue was filled with smiles and conversation.
GRAPHY MIX NIGHT isn’t just about music—it’s about connecting people.
“SOCIAL GRAPHING” made for a warm and memorable evening, filled with new encounters and shared moments.

As we mark our first year, HOTEL GRAPHY SHIBUYA will continue to grow alongside our community and guests, creating a place where meaningful connections can happen.
We have many more exciting events planned, so please stay tuned!
