RAILWAY TO RUNWAY 2026: A Sustainable Fashion Show on Shibuya’s Former Rail Line
KOMOREBI takes the runway and headlines the after-party. A used-clothing drive will supply materials for the show’s original looks, and art pieces upcycled from discarded hangers will stay on display for a limited time after the event.
HOTEL GRAPHY SHIBUYA is hosting the fashion show “RAILWAY TO RUNWAY 2026” on Sunday, November 8, 2026, at Shibuya Bridge — the site where the hotel itself is located — as part of an area-management project run in partnership with Tokyu Corporation.

“RAILWAY TO RUNWAY,” a Fashion Show Staged on Former Railway Tracks, Returns for Its Second Year
“RAILWAY TO RUNWAY” made its debut last year on the site of Shibuya Bridge, built along the former elevated tracks of the old Tokyu Toyoko Line. For this second edition, the show teams up with the buzzworthy fashion brand SAIKOUCHIKU.
A hotel is a place where different people, cultures, and values come together — and where something new emerges when those differences meet. RAILWAY TO RUNWAY 2026 leans into that idea of a hotel as “a place to discover the unknown,” bringing together two very different worlds: hospitality and fashion. Rather than putting concepts like upcycling, circularity, or diversity front and center, the event invites guests to enjoy fashion freely through a simple sense of “cool” and “fun” — with sustainability woven in naturally along the way.
The runway will feature 15 looks in total, including two pieces upcycled from secondhand clothing collected in Shibuya.
Taking the runway as models are SAM and YUTA of KOMOREBI, the alternative hip-hop unit who are also active as fashion models in their own right.
The night continues with an after-party featuring a pop-up shop of SAIKOUCHIKU apparel and goods, plus a live performance from KOMOREBI.
Starting from fashion, this event brings together hotels, the local community, and creators — sending new value out into the world from Shibuya Bridge.

Donate Your Old Clothes — Your Piece Could Walk the Runway

To help create the costumes for the show, we’re running a used-clothing drive. Clothes you no longer need will be collected and upcycled into brand-new designs — a small way to keep resources in circulation. The piece you let go of might just end up walking the runway on the day of the event. We’d love your help.
- Collection Period: Monday, September 21 – Friday, October 16, 2026
- What We’re Collecting: Black or gray clothing
- Drop-off Locations: The Millennials Shibuya, 4F / HOTEL GRAPHY SHIBUYA, 1F
An After-Party Where Music, Fashion, and Food Collide
Keep the night going at the after-party, where KOMOREBI takes the stage for a live performance and SAIKOUCHIKU creates improvised costume pieces on the spot. With food and cocktails from HOTEL GRAPHY SHIBUYA’s in-house restaurant, it’s a special evening where music, fashion, and food come together.

SAIKOUCHIKU

Built around the concept of “reconstructing thought,” SAIKOUCHIKU is a brand that breaks down the idea of how things “should be” and proposes new designs in their place.
“Fashion can be freer than this.” That philosophy extends beyond clothing into art, space, and graphic design, as SAIKOUCHIKU sends this new set of values out to Japan and the world.

KOMOREBI

KOMOREBI is a 4-MC-and-1-DJ alternative hip-hop unit made up of MCs SAM, MAXI, YUTA, and MATHEUS, alongside DJ OTA. The group officially began activities in 2023. Five members with distinct roots and rare individuality come together like sunlight filtering through leaves (the meaning behind the name “komorebi”), expressing their own original culture through music. With a borderless sound that blends hip-hop, rock, R&B, and pop across genre lines, and lyrics that speak honestly to dreams, hope, insecurity, and vulnerability, KOMOREBI has built a following among their generation who see themselves in both the group’s struggles and aspirations. Their 2024 release “Giri Giri” exploded on social media, surpassing 3 billion total plays on TikTok and hitting No. 1 on the Billboard Japan TikTok Weekly chart, TikTok’s song ranking, and Spotify’s Viral Chart. The track went on to win “TikTok Trend Award 2024” and the “Simeji presents Gen Z Trend Award.” In 2025, the group released their first EP, “ORBIS,” and has continued to grow as artists, including hosting their own event, “FROM TOKYO.” All five members are also active fashion models, making them next-generation icons who move fluidly across music, fashion, and culture — a presence that turns even the ordinary light and shadow of daily life into something inspiring for young people everywhere.

This hostel-style hotel blends seamlessly into Shibuya’s history. Built directly above the underground Tokyu Toyoko Line, the space brings the area’s former elevated railway back to life through design and art. Enjoy a stay that combines a free-spirited atmosphere with a genuine connection to Shibuya’s past. <Property Overview>
