Celebrate New Year’s Eve with Latin Music & Dance at THE LIVELY OSAKA HONMACHI

THE LIVELY OSAKA HONMACHI will host its New Year’s Eve countdown event, “VIVA COUNTDOWN CARNIVAL 2025–2026,” on Wednesday, December 31, 2025.
A Latin New Year’s Eve in an Unexpected Hotel Space
This year, the lifestyle hotel transforms into a burst of Brazilian Carnival energy. Inspired by the spirit of Carnival in Brazil, the event invites guests to close out 2025 surrounded by music, movement, and Latin heat. Admission is free, and non-hotel guests are warmly welcome.
The celebration takes place in the hotel’s first-floor entrance lounge, where three DJs will fill the space with Latin sounds centered on baile funk and samba. Adding to the energy, a dynamic dance show will feature three performers, including a Japanese dancer who takes part in the Rio de Janeiro Carnival each year.
For the evening, guests can also enjoy event-exclusive Latin-style drinks, including Brazil’s classic caipirinha, alongside mate tea and guaraná juice.
Starting at 21:00, the party is easy to drop into after dinner or just in time for the countdown. As the music and dance reach their peak, everyone—guests and performers alike—will raise a glass together to welcome 2026.
Step into the extraordinary atmosphere of THE LIVELY OSAKA HONMACHI and celebrate the New Year with rhythm, color, and unforgettable energy.

■DJs

A Brazil-born DJ and music producer based in Japan.
After graduating from the Brazilian Conservatory of Music, he became known for a unique performance that blends technique and feeling. He began his DJ career in 2010 and served as the resident DJ for “SANA (Super Amostra Nacional de Animes),” an event hosted by the Brazil–Japan Cultural Foundation (FCNB). He then appeared at famous festivals and clubs across Brazil, building a solid position in the scene. His past appearances include Happy Holi, Show da Virada de Fortaleza, Órbita Bar, FW Eletronic, and Fortal.
He is now based in Japan, appearing as a guest DJ at every edition of “CONOCEME” at Baia Club in Shibuya, and at many events such as Favela Fest, Lowel, and Summer Fest. He has earned high praise in Japan’s club scene in a short time. DJ MARFEL’s stage is full of energy, charisma, and a strong bond with the audience—each time is a one-of-a-kind experience. His “open-format” style freely mixes rhythms like Brazilian music, Latin, and dancehall, and also weaves in his own original tracks. His original sound is now known at clubs and events across Japan, and the name DJ MARFEL stands as a symbol of “excitement, diversity, and a fusion of cultures.”

Carlos Cesar Tashiro, known as DJ K4K4, is from Brazil. He started his music activity in 2007 at an electronic music festival in Japan. He then improved his music production skills in Brazil, graduating from DJ Academy (Brazil, 2014) and Kick School (Japan, 2015). Since then, he has built a career as a pro DJ based in Japan, focusing on electronic music, and has performed many shows across Japan and Brazil.
In 2019, he launched the open-format project “DJ K4K4 – Music No Rules,” showing dynamic sets that freely blend electronic, Brazilian, and Latin music. His play is known for energy, diversity, and a strong unity with the audience. He also hosts and performs at “Noise Paradise,” an event where multiple DJs gather to create a unique music experience, further enriching Japan’s multicultural music scene.

He began his career as a nightclub DJ in 2009. With Hip-Hop and R&B at the core, he creates the mood with selections that use knowledge of both old and new styles, including Latin, Moombahton, House, and Rock.
In Osaka, he built his career at parties hosted by DJ NAN-JYO, MC MACKO, DJ Kenichi, and DJ REE-AGE at nightclubs such as SAM&DAVE, CANDY, WAX, GHOST, and PINK. He also plays as a DJ across Japan, including the Kansai area—Kyoto and Nara—and in Tokyo at A-LIFE in Roppongi.
Since 2015, he has supported the artist “ABIS” in live shows, and since 2021, he has joined “Otoiro,” hosted by Shinnosuke, gaining experience supporting many singers’ live performances.
