This time, we’re excited to introduce our upcoming Izakaya Hopping event, scheduled for Thursday, June 19th 2025! Whether you’re coming with friends or on your own, everyone is welcome!
◆What is「Jump! Step!! Hopping!!!」?
At THE LIVELY OSAKA HONMACHI, we value not only your hotel stay but also your connection with the local community. Even among Osaka’s many gourmet hotspots, the Honmachi and Sakaisuji-Honmachi areas, including where our hotel is located, are packed with hidden gems.
For this event, our staff have carefully selected two local izakayas (Japanese pubs) that truly represent the authentic flavor of the area. Join our staff as we hop between these spots together, enjoying the real tastes and atmosphere of Osaka!
For those thinking, “I don’t know where to go…” or “I want to experience a different side of Osaka, not just the usual spots like Namba or Umeda,” this is the perfect event to dive into a new kind of night with ease.

The Honmachi and Sakaisuji Honmachi area may be known as a business district by day, but by night, it comes alive with deep, authentic izakaya culture.
With fewer tourists and no crowded streets, it’s the perfect place to experience the real, local Osaka.
We’ll be visiting two carefully selected izakayas, handpicked by our staff!
At each spot, you’ll be able to choose two dishes and one drink from a special menu curated just for this event.

1st Stop：Standing Style Bar
A Local Favorite in the Honmachi area is “KURODARUMA” Standing Bar!
KURODARUMA is a popular standing bar run by two chefs with experience across a wide range of cuisines, including Italian, teppanyaki, and sushi.
One of the chefs has also trained in the UK and France, and together they create unique, high quality fusion dishes that transcend the boundaries of Japanese, Western, and Chinese cuisine. Their inventive approach and culinary skill have made KURODARUMA a beloved spot among locals.
2nd Stop：Okonomiyaki, Teppanyaki, and Wine
When people think of Osaka’s famous okonomiyaki, many imagine a classic, old school vibe.
But 好EN (pronounced “Kōen”) offers a fresh take on the experience.
Tucked away underground, this hidden gem features a stylish and relaxed atmosphere, which is quite the contrast to the usual image of a casual okonomiyaki joint.Here, you can enjoy creative, one-of-a-kind takes on Osaka soul food, such as ago suji (flying fish tendon) and soy sauce yakisoba with Kishu whitebait, topped with sansho pepper mousse; dishes you won’t find anywhere else.
