To mark its 8th anniversary, The Millennials Kyoto will host a special exchange event: “.andmix: Traveler meets traveler.” This event will celebrate encounters that cross borders and cultures, offering guests a unique opportunity to rediscover the magic of travel within the hotel—a place where the world comes together.
The event will take place in the hotel’s 8th floor sofa lounge, which offers stunning views of Kyoto’s Higashiyama mountains. Free and open to the public, it invites both locals and travelers to experience a moment that feels like journeying around the world—without ever leaving Kyoto.

17:00 – 19:15 | Lounge Activities
Join interactive mini-games such as “Passport Bingo” and a team-based “Trivia Quiz Time” where you’ll learn fun facts about Kyoto and the world. Enjoy discovering new friends as you play and connect.
Afterward, unwind with drinks like beer and sake, and grab a freshly grilled “Japanese-style takoyaki” skewer spinning on the hotplate. It’s a relaxing and delicious way to continue conversations.
*Takoyaki will be available for purchase.
19:30 – 21:00 | Tuna Filleting Show
We’ve invited Kimura Fish Shop from the famous Nishiki Market for a one-night-only live tuna filleting performance.
Guests will get to enjoy the fresh tuna in three ways: sashimi, sushi, and tempura.

Someone’s World ＆ Someone’s Kyoto
We are bringing back our original mapping project “Someone’s Kyoto,” which lets you see the city through someone else’s eyes. This time, we’re launching a special edition: “Someone’s World.”
With the theme “Show Us the Charm of Your Hometown,” we’ll collect local spot suggestions from travelers around the world. These locations will be added to a shared map created by all participants.
After the map is completed, it will be displayed in the lounge for other hotel guests to explore new destinations and perspectives. Whether you want to show off your city or discover new travel ideas, this project is full of exciting inspiration.
