“UNWIND PICNIC” is a rental service offering a complete picnic experience, including a brunch set and all the items you need, neatly packed into a picnic basket. Enjoy a relaxing, extraordinary moment in nature while still in the heart of Sapporo city.

This article introduces the details of UNWIND PICNIC and our recommended picnic spots.

The brunch set in the “UNWIND PICNIC” basket includes sandwiches, sweets, and the popular “Daily Soup” from our breakfast menu — exclusively available to hotel guests — along with a pulled pork sandwich made with our house-made pulled pork, which is also featured on the pulled pork pizza at Bar Ignis Sapporo. These are flavors you can only experience at UNWIND HOTEL & BAR SAPPORO.

If you let us know by the day before, we can also prepare a vegan soup to accommodate allergies.

Here are some picnic spots recommended by the staff at UNWIND HOTEL & BAR SAPPORO — all within walking distance of the hotel!

Nakajima Park

Location: 1 Nakajima Park, Chuo-ku, Sapporo (5-minute walk from the hotel)

With Mt. Moiwa in the background, this park is full of water and greenery, with plenty of shaded areas — making it a perfect spot for a picnic. It’s beloved year-round for cherry blossoms in spring, riverside walks in summer, autumn leaves, and snowy views in winter.

The park also features important cultural properties like Hoheikan and Hassouan, making it a great destination for fans of architecture and history.

Location: 5-1 Minami 18-jo Nishi, Chuo-ku, Sapporo, Hokkaido (12-minute walk from the hotel)

UNWIND ROOFTOP BBQ

Enjoy a private BBQ for one group per day on the rooftop terrace of UNWIND HOTEL & BAR SAPPORO, located on the 10th floor. Everything you need for a BBQ is provided — so come empty-handed and enjoy a relaxing, fire-lit outdoor experience in the heart of the city.

Choose from two plans: PREMIUM PLAN or STANDARD PLAN.
Both include a 3-hour all-you-can-drink service.
