Experience Local Vibes with Sake, Music & Bites at THE LIVELY FUKUOKA HAKATA – Starting August 1!

Special music performances in collaboration with MUSIC CITY COUNCIL OF FUKUOKA and original food menus available for just one coin.

Starting Friday, August 1, 2025, THE LIVELY FUKUOKA HAKATA will launch a new concept event called “Sound Sake Stand.”

An extraordinary two-hour evening experience presented by THE LIVELY FUKUOKA HAKATA

This exciting new event, “Sound Sake Stand,” is designed to enhance the guest experience with a special two-hour evening session. It will be held during the same time as the free beer service that has been offered exclusively to hotel guests and has received great feedback. The event reimagines Fukuoka’s famous standing-drink culture in a hotel setting and is open to both locals and travelers.

The first-floor lounge will host the event every night from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Guests can enjoy local sake and specialty drinks in a casual standing style, along with original food options available for just one coin. Music performances by artists and DJs will bring energy to the evening atmosphere.

The music is presented in collaboration with MUSIC CITY COUNCIL OF FUKUOKA, featuring artists and DJs registered with the curation media “OTOJIRO.” Genres like Jazz, Hip-Hop, R&B, and House will rotate nightly, creating a different vibe each day. Don’t miss the chance to encounter music by local artists that can only be experienced that night.

In addition, the space will be decorated with seasonal floral art, adding a dynamic visual element that changes with every visit. Enjoy an extraordinary experience in the stylish lobby lounge that could only happen at THE LIVELY FUKUOKA HAKATA.

This event is open to everyone, including non-staying guests. Whether you’re a local resident or visiting Hakata as a tourist, feel free to drop by and enjoy this unique two-hour crossover of local and hotel culture.

Food & Drink Menu

8 original food items under 500 yen (tax included)

Clockwise from top: “Broiled Mentaiko,” “Sesame Mackerel Can,” “Mentaiko Manju,” “Grilled Pork Skewer,” “Black Potato Salad”

Enjoy a special menu created with ingredients unique to Fukuoka, showcasing the charm of the local area.

Two standout dishes are the “Sesame Mackerel Can” and the “Mentaiko Manju.”

“Sesame Mackerel Can” is a fun take on Hakata’s famous sesame mackerel, served in a can-style presentation. This creates a casual, approachable feel perfect for standing-style dining, offering a new way to enjoy this local dish.

“Mentaiko Manju” is inspired by Fukuoka’s flour-based food culture, which includes udon, soba, and manju. Focusing on manju, this creative dish uses a fluffy dough made from manju flour mixed with okonomiyaki flour and yam. It’s stuffed with cabbage, bacon, and a sunny-side-up egg, then topped with mentaiko cream sauce for a delicious sweet-and-savory taste.

■ 5 signature cocktails available at a special price of 600–800 yen (tax included)

From left: “Hakata Lemon Sour,” “Yame Green Tea Cocktail,” “Rooibos Highball,” “Sangria,” “Moscow Mule”

These signature cocktails are normally priced at 1,300 yen during regular bar hours but are available at less than half-price—starting at just 600 yen—during Sound Sake Stand hours only.

■ Other drinks including local sake and wine (600–800 yen tax included)

The drink menu includes 5 types of sake from Fukuoka Prefecture, 3 kinds of plum wine, 2 varieties of shochu (sweet potato and barley), and one each of red and white wine.
You can also choose the special “Senbero Set” which includes 2 drinks and 1 food item for just 1,000 yen (tax included). ※The drink and food items available for the Senbero Set are limited to a select menu.
