THE LIVELY KITCHEN FUKUOKA HAKATA is the all-day dining restaurant attached to THE LIVELY FUKUOKA HAKATA, serving modern Japanese-Italian cuisine that fuses traditional Japanese ingredients and tableware with Italian culinary techniques. Each dish is delicately plated in rich, artisanal Japanese vessels — a reflection of the chef’s attentive eye for seasonal expression and contemporary trends — resulting in truly one-of-a-kind creations. Lunch Course “Fuku” — ¥3,000 (tax included)

The lunch course is inspired by “clouds” drifting across a summer sky, and is crafted to feel light and refreshing from start to finish. It opens with an amuse-bouche of sunflower rendered in corn mousse, followed by a cold appetizer that draws out the deep umami of marinated aji (horse mackerel). For the main, choose between a white fish cutlet finished with a bright ume (plum) sauce, or a pork dish paired with a vibrant green pea sauce. The meal wraps up with a choice of four desserts, including a Koshu wine gelée parfait.

Dinner Course “Natsu Mizukagami” — ¥7,000 (tax included)

The dinner course takes its name from natsu mizukagami — the mirror-like surface of a lake on a summer night — with each dish designed to reflect a different scene of the season. The journey begins with an amuse-bouche of watermelon, grilled corn, and sea bass carpaccio, followed by a warm dish of fragrant fried ayu (sweetfish). The pasta course features a refreshing cold peach pasta, while the fish course stars unagi (eel), the quintessential ingredient of a Japanese summer. The meal concludes with duck accompanied by seasonal asparagus.

Chef Yasutomo Nakamura

Born in Kumamoto Prefecture in 1975, Chef Nakamura trained at Nakamura Culinary School before launching his culinary career at the Grand Hyatt Fukuoka. He went on to build his experience at Italian restaurants and large-scale dining venues, eventually serving as Executive Chef overseeing Fukuoka operations for a major dining group. In 2019, he joined THE LIVELY FUKUOKA HAKATA as Head Chef upon the restaurant’s opening.
