“GRAPHY GARAGE – YANESEN TRADITIONAL MARKET” will be held on 5/9・10 at HOTEL GRAPHY NEZU.
HOTEL GRAPHY NEZU is bringing back its beloved market event for the fifth time. GRAPHY GARAGE – YANESEN TRADITIONAL MARKET – will take place over two days on Saturday, May 9 and Sunday, May 10, 2026, gathering local shops from the Yanesen area right inside the hotel.

Where the Hotel’s Free Spirit Meets Yanesen’s Warmth and Japan’s Timeless Culture
GRAPHY GARAGE is a market event that brings local shops from the Yanesen area — a neighborhood trio made up of Yanaka, Nezu, and Sendagi — right into the hotel. It all started in April 2024 to celebrate HOTEL GRAPHY NEZU’s 11th anniversary with GRAPHY GARAGE – YANESEN LOCAL MARKET –, and this fifth edition continues that tradition. This year’s theme is “Graphic × Journey × Nostalgic,” setting the tone for what promises to be a truly special two-day experience.
This edition features a carefully curated selection of shops dealing in traditional Japanese goods and retro items with a nostalgic feel. Drawing on the hotel’s experience hosting guests from around the world, this market was put together with an international perspective — so no matter where you’re from, there’s something here to spark your love for Japan.
The key visual, illustrated by Atsushi Takeuchi in his signature American-influenced style, features a foreign girl traveling through Japan — her backpack filled with favorite finds from across the country. It captures the spirit of the event perfectly: discovering the charm of old Japan, one treasure at a time.

There’s plenty more to look forward to beyond shopping: live performances of koto (Japanese harp) and shakuhachi (bamboo flute), kamishibai storytelling for kids, a rooftop festival with carnival-style games, and on the evening of Saturday the 9th, the hotel’s popular Rooftop Movie Night returns under the open sky. With so much to enjoy across all ages, we’d love to see you there with family and friends.
