THE LIVELY, the flagship brand of our hotels, will hold “LIVELY REVOLUTION: Heisei Retro de Night” at its three facilities in Azabujuban, Tokyo, Honmachi, Osaka, and Hakata, Fukuoka to celebrate its 4th anniversary. The event date will vary depending on each hotel.

Experience THE LIVELY Through “Retro,” the Hottest Trend Right Now

The brand concept of LIVELY HOTELS is to provide “experiential value,” which means it isn’t just a place to sleep like at a conventional hotel, but rather a memorable experience. The flagship brand, THE LIVELY, opened in Fukuoka, Osaka, and Tokyo in 2019. The hotel redefines itself as “a place where people, information, and opportunities gather from around the world,” and aims to provide a guest experience full of stimulation where guests can encounter new discoveries every time they visit and there are plenty of opportunities for not only overnight guests but also locals and people who are interested in the hotel to stop by.

This year, the three hotels will celebrate their 4th anniversary by holding “LIVELY REVOLUTION: Heisei Retro de Night.” Focusing on the Heisei era, the event will feature elegant food and energetic music to deliver a unique “Heisei Retro” experience.

DJ HASEBE, one of Japan’s leading DJs, will be the main DJ at all locations while YonYon will DJ in Fukuoka and Osaka, and Yuna Yabe and DJ KRO will DJ in Tokyo. Their music will follow the basic theme of Heisei Retro, mixing Japanese and foreign music popular in the Heisei era with their individual performances.

For food, we have arranged local specialties from the areas where THE LIVELY hotels are located and will offer a limited menu that evokes “Heisei Retro” by taking advantage of the specialties of the restaurants and bars attached to the hotels. In addition, the event space will be creatively decorated with Heisei art through the use of signage and other means.

For guests in their 30s to 50s, it will be a nostalgic experience that reminds them of their youth and for Gen Z guests who didn’t experience those days, it will be a fresh and eye-opening experience only at THE LIVLEY for three days only. DJ Bios

DJ HASEBE

A DJ and sound producer, he started his career as a DJ in 1990 and made a name for himself in 1998 with the release of his mini-album “adore” featuring Sugar Soul & Zeebra, which included the song “I want it now.” In 2000, he released his full-length album “Hey World,” which was released the following year in several European countries and became a hot topic of conversation. Since then, he has remixed and produced songs for many artists. In recent years, he has released a remix album featuring Michael Jackson and the Jackson 5, a collaborative mix CD with the beach lifestyle magazine “Honey” and in 2020, an album commemorating his 30th anniversary as a DJ. Currently, he live-streams on his YouTube channel, offering an innovative way to enjoy his music. He is active in various fields and has become well-known in each field.

YonYon

Born in Seoul and raised in Tokyo, she is a multi-talented DJ, singer-songwriter, music producer and radio personality. She is popular among people of all ages as a DJ who sings and her edgy sound is easy to listen to and dance to. Her lyrics, which transcend the boundaries of genre and language, captivate listeners around the world with their energy and addictive beats, but also with their meaningful words and deep messages.

Yuna Yabe

Born in Shizuoka Prefecture, she debuted as a model after winning the grand prix at a magazine audition. In 2017, she started her career as a DJ, performing at music festivals and club events. She is also good at editing videos and is influential to her generation mainly in the fields of fashion and music.

DJ KRO

He is the founder of Chilly Source, a lifestyle label that focuses on Hip Hop music that can “Chill” and “Relax.” He is active as a multi-creator who is a music video director, event producer, music composer, etc., and operates Chilly Source Radio, which is on air every Sunday. His DJ style is centered on “chill Japanese rap” and his Japanese rap mix “TOKYO SUNSET” on YouTube has been viewed over 2 million times and is loved by many music fans. In Japan, he appeared as a DJ on the Billboard Stage at Summer Sonic in 2019, and has released a mix CD with Manhattan Records. He has also been featured on a popular radio show in London.

THE LIVELY’s Original “Heisei Retro” Food and Drinks

The event will feature a “Heisei Retro” limited-edition menu that will be arranged with local specialties from the areas where THE LIVELY hotels are located and will also take advantage of the special features of the restaurants and bars attached to the hotels. In Fukuoka “Mentaiko Ramen,” which combines two Fukuoka specialties, and “Oreo Tiramisu,” a popular hotel sweet, will be available. In Osaka, you can find the soul food popular in the Heisei era “Nikkufuru,” a waffle made from pressed steamed meat buns that will be served with a special truffle-scented sauce. In Tokyo, you can try a lineup of five cocktails, including THE LIVELY’s top bartender’s cocktails, “Nata de Coco” and “Tapi Chai.” They are 500 yen each (tax included).

THE LIVELY FUKUOKA HAKATA

The event venue of THE LIVELY FUKUOKA HAKATA is the lounge space on the first floor, which sparkles with numerous lights and signs as soon as you enter. The lounge space is usually crowded with locals and tourists and includes the front desk that welcomes guests upon check-in, THE LIVELY KITCHEN with its “Japanese x Italian” theme and THE LIVELY BAR, located in the center of the hotel, which can be used as a café.

THE LIVELY OSAKA HONMACHI

The event venue at THE LIVELY OSAKA HONMACHI is on the first floor, just past the entrance. Usually, the casual French restaurant “THE LIVELY KITCHEN,” the seating area for hotel guests and the open-air terrace are crowded with many people.

The event venue at THE LIVELY TOKYO AZABUJUBAN is the 2nd floor lounge space. It is usually crowded with guests, since it has a workspace equipped with a power outlets, a seating area in the lobby lounge and a recreational area with billiards and chess.
