Today, we would like to introduce a new item that has been a hot topic among our guests since June! The Takoyaki Waffle is a tasty menu item made with Osaka’s well-known specialty, takoyaki, and it makes for the perfect snack when you feel like you haven’t had enough to eat after an early dinner or as an accompaniment to a beer.
A Weekend Food Stall in a Hotel?
A food stall suddenly appears at the first-floor entrance of THE LIVELY OSAKA HONMACHI on weekends (Friday and Saturday) from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m! The word “Lively” is written on the curtain and the vibe certainly matches. Inside the stall, cheerful and friendly hotel staff members will greet you with a smile and serve takoyaki waffles.
The Takoyaki Waffle is an original product developed by a French chef who has been working at the hotel’s restaurant, THE LIVELY KITCHEN, for over 20 years. Takoyaki and cabbage are wrapped in tortilla skin and pressed, then topped with original sauce accented with BBQ sauce and traditional French mayonnaise and sprinkled with colorful arare, a bite-size Japanese rice cracker, for a fun texture, making it not only tasty but also visually stimulating.
In addition to the delicious takoyaki waffles, which are designed with the French chef’s expertise, the food stall was designed so that guests can enjoy the excitement of traveling and the summer festival-like atmosphere.
It is just the right size, not too big but enough to satisfy your craving for a little something to eat after a meal! The service is so popular that people always ask for another, so it can sell out in as little as 30 minutes. If you happen to come across the stall on a weekend night, please give it a try, but be sure to get there early to take advantage of this service!

The free beer normally held from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. will also be offered only on Friday and Saturday from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m. The second free beer time is the same as the takoyaki waffle serving time, which makes it the perfect time to combine beer and takoyaki waffles.
