Eight Days of Art in the Heart of Azabujuban, Tokyo
From October 17 to October 25, 2025, THE LIVELY TOKYO AZABUJUBAN will host a solo exhibition by the artist Nozography, titled “Words for Those Who Fight.” It will take place on the 2nd floor lounge.
During the exhibition period, visitors can enjoy not only the artwork display but also a variety of special events, including a talk show, live painting sessions, and the sale of exclusive original merchandise.
About the Artist — Nozography
Nozography is a Tokyo-based female artist with a unique background. After leaving her position at a bank, she spent seven years living in Canada, where she worked across various creative fields such as modeling, videography, and painting. She officially began her artistic career in Japan about five years ago.
Her works—mostly acrylic paintings—feature a strong graphic style that emphasizes contours and shadows through the use of stencils. Some pieces also incorporate hand-lettered English messages. Her paintings are both lyrical and powerful, marked by a distinctive use of bold yet subtly restrained colors.The slightly desaturated shades of orange and blue-green that often appear as background hues for her monochrome figures seem to echo and encourage “those who fight”. While stencil and graffiti artists like Banksy often convey political messages, Nozography’s art resonates on a more emotional and sensory level—appealing directly to the viewer’s sense of color and inner feelings.

Through the theme of “the strength to stand back up,” her art captures the warmth and intensity of human spirit — evoking personal memories, emotions, and silent thoughts within each viewer.
