Join us on Friday, February 20th for a special “Vegan Izakaya” event! Featuring an ‘obanzai-style’ vegan menu hosted on the top floor of THE LIVELY OSAKA HONMACHI!

Today we are excited to introduce our upcoming “Vegan Izakaya” event, on February 20th. 

All menu items are completely free from meat and animal-based ingredients, instead highlighting the natural flavours of vegetables, the power of fermentation, and creative cooking techniques that will surprise and delight you. 

For one day only, our THE LIVELY KITCHEN OSAKA HONMACHI French Chef has specially curated this unique Vegan Izakaya menu.

What is Veganism?

Veganism is a lifestyle and food choice that avoids all animal-based ingredients, and has become popular in recent years as a more environmentally and ethically conscious way of living.

At its core is the belief that animals should not be harmed for human consumption. A vegan lifestyle excludes all products derived from animals, including meat, fish, eggs, dairy, and honey.

When people hear the words “vegan food”, they tend to imagine meals that are limited to salads or fruit. However, the menu prepared for this event is anything but simple. 

Designed not only for those who follow a vegan diet, but also for guests who are new to vegan cuisine, our dishes will offer generous portions filled with new delicious discoveries.

Chef: Nishiura Kohei

After training at restaurants in Kobe, Osaka, and France, our chef went on to serve as head chef at several renowned French restaurants in Osaka, including the modern French restaurant La Chic in Yodoyabashi. In December 2019, he took on the role of Executive Chef at THE LIVELY KITCHEN OSAKA HONMACHI.

Drawing on the elegance of French cuisine, he strikes a refined balance between classic and modern styles. His dishes highlight the beauty of seasonal Japanese ingredients, bringing out their natural vitality in creations that both surprise and delight.

With years of experience and a refined sense of taste, he continues to share the charm of “casual French”—a style unique to THE LIVELY OSAKA HONMACHI that makes French cuisine approachable and enjoyable for everyone.
