We Made Summer Memories at “Otona no Ennichi”!
Hello! This is the staff of THE LIVELY OSAKA HONMACHI.
Today, we would like to recap the “Otona no Ennichi” event held in August! On August 25 and 26, many guests enjoyed the festival, which was held alongside the takoyaki waffle event held every weekend. For those of you who were unable to attend the event, please enjoy a recap from the day in this article.
What is “Otona no Ennichi”?
A festival is an event where children go all out and adults tend to be a little reserved. The staff at THE LIVELY OSAKA HONMACHI wanted to create a place where adults could also enjoy themselves to the fullest, so they organized this festival for adults! The festival featured three different stalls, which were designed for adults with drinks and snacks on offer, instead of the usual yo-yo and target practice with toy prizes that are usually reserved for children!
The festival also featured three games:
●Snack fishing ●Tequila Pong ●Shooting games
Even adults want to have fun sometimes! The will start with a variety of adult-oriented contents that cannot be enjoyed at regular festivals.
Snack Fishing: Snacks to Accompany Your Free Beer!
The prizes weren’t children’s yo-yos, but snacks to go with beer! The free beer service, which is usually held between 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., is also available on Fridays and Saturdays only from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m. in addition to the regular evening hours. To enjoy such a free beer service to the fullest, we prepared a snack fishing event where you can fish for snacks to accompany your beer! The foreign guests who participated on the day struggled with fishing for snacks for the first time, but they ended up winning a lot!
Tequila Pong: The New and Improved Beer Pong
Beer pong is an American game in which ping pong balls are thrown into cups filled with water at either end of the table and the losing team all drink beer. The game was upgraded to include tequila instead of beer to make it even more challenging. There were various battles between guests and staff, regardless of nationality, taking place in the lobby on the first floor! Some guests were so frustrated that they tried again and again, which led them to show off their questionable tequila dance moves. One of the attractions of THE LIVELY OSAKA HONMACHI is that guests get to know each other and he staff through these events and all participants can find a place to belong in our community.
Shooting Game: Winner Got a Full Refund of Their Booking!
The most exciting game was the shooting game, where the first prize winner got a full refund of that day’s booking fees!
Other prizes included gorgeous THE LIVELY original goods (original pajamas and tumblers), so everyone had a great time aiming for prizes of all kinds. Everyone concentrated hard and teamed up with their family, lovers and friends to try to win. Everyone did their best to try to win first prize, but the top winner was a guest from the Netherlands!

In addition to these three stalls, a sake tasting set featuring a selection of Kansai sake was also available on the day. We prepared:
●Kyoto Marutake Ebisu
●Hyogo Fukuju Junmai Sake Mikagego
●Wakayama Minamikata Super Dry Junmai-shu
The participants enjoyed sake of Kansai origin, ranging from smooth to dry to ultra-dry.
We had a great evening with fun games and local Kansai sake! Thank you to everyone who took part!
