Cozy Up for Valentine Movie Night: “Notting Hill” Screening on February 11 (Sunday)

Hello, I’m a staff member from HOTEL GRAPHY NEZU.

At our hotel, we host a monthly popular “Rooftop Movie Night” on the third Saturday of every month. Since November, we have moved the event indoors to the warm tatami space on the 1st floor, where you can enjoy the movie comfortably while nestled under a warm kotatsu.

This month’s event conveniently aligns with Valentine’s Day, taking place on February 11 (Sunday). We aim to foster a laid-back environment, encouraging participants to mingle over both food and conversation. Why not savor a movie in the cozy ambiance of a kotatsu, engaging in delightful conversations with friends and fellow guests?

In February, we’ll be screening “Notting Hill.”

February is synonymous with Valentine’s Day, a season that stirs up sweet and nostalgic memories of the thrilling exchange of chocolates from our student days. Even as adults, the act of gifting chocolates to our special ones holds a charm, turning these moments into something more than just a treat.

This Valentine’s season, we have prepared something special—a heartwarming love story for our rooftop movie night. “Notting Hill,” released in 1999 in the UK, hilariously tells the miraculous encounter and romantic escapades between a Hollywood star and an ordinary Englishman.

Whether you’re with a partner, family, friends, or enjoying a quiet moment alone, picture this: cuddled up under a kotatsu, savoring the warmth and indulging in the charm of this delightful romantic comedy.

Synopsis

A humorous depiction of the romantic journey between a renowned Hollywood actress and an ordinary man. Julia Roberts, portraying the glamorous Hollywood star, and Hugh Grant, taking on the role of a somewhat unreliable young man, deliver captivating performances. The setting is the unassuming neighborhood of Notting Hill in West London. In this quaint locale, William, who runs a small bookstore, has a chance encounter with Hollywood star Anna Scott. As these two individuals, sensing a twist of fate, gradually fall in love, their journey unfolds in the backdrop of the unassuming Notting Hill.
