Top 3 Ramen Restaurants Near slash kawasaki

Kawasaki Soul Food, Ikebana, Seafood Tsukemen

This is Goto, the curator at slash Kawasaki.

The hotel is surrounded by a busy shopping district that leads from Kawasaki Station, where there are about 10 ramen shops within walking distance. As someone who eats ramen twice a week, these are my top three favorite restaurants.

These restaurants are all within a three-minute walk from the hotel. You may want to try this ramen on a cold day or after a few drinks.

Only 5-min from Kawasaki Station, slash kawasaki offers guests an incredible hotel experience using digital technology. All rooms are equipped with a giant projector screen.

Ganso New Tantanmen, Kawasaki

Tantanmen? The look of the dish is unusual, since it is layered by a beaten egg.

This is Ganso New Tantanmen, the famous soul food of Kawasaki, with spicy chicken broth, beaten egg and medium-thick noodles.

Moreover, this branch in Kawasaki is a new line of business of Ganso New Tantanmen Main Branch. It is also open as an izakaya with a wide variety of drinks and snacks.

Tantanmen 830 yen

You can choose from the following five levels of spiciness

(Not spicy) (Normal) (Medium spicy) (Very spicy) (Super spicy)

It’s quite spicy, so even if you are a fan of spicy food, we recommend ordering the medium spicy level first.

When it arrives, the bowl is so large and impressive that you may wonder if you can finish it! The bowl is filled with coarsely minced meat and you can also request a spoon with a hole in it, which is a nice touch for those who don’t drink soup.

The most recommended topping is kikurage (cloud ear mushroom). The crunchy texture is addictive.

To enjoy it to the end, we recommend mixing the ingredients with rice and eating it as a bowl of rice or adding rice to the rest of the soup and eating it zosui style.

Yokohama Iekei Ramen Ginya, Kawasaki Ginryagai Branch

Next, we recommend Yokohama Iekei Ramen, which offers a fatty type of ramen that you can try anytime 24 hours a day, perfect for when you end up craving ramen in the middle of the night.

What is Iekei Ramen?
Iekei Ramen is a type of ramen that originated in Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture around 1974 and is characterized by thick, straight noodles with a pork and soy sauce base.
The name “Iekei” is derived from the “家” (ie) in the name of the restaurant.

Soft-boiled Egg Ramen 850 yen

I recommend ordering a classic ramen with half-boiled egg, spinach and nori seaweed. You can eat all the rice you want 24 hours a day, not just at lunch time, and fill up to your heart’s content. Be careful not to eat the half-boiled egg and toppings on top of the rice, as you will be pushed slightly over the limit.

You can also choose to have extra-thin noodles, which is rare for iekei style ramen.

Like Hakata ramen, you can choose from the following seven types of noodle hardness. We recommend experimenting with the texture of the noodles to see what kind you like best.

①Coconut②Super Hard③Very Hard④Hard⑤Normal⑥Soft⑦Very Soft

③Tsukemen Specialty Noodle Shop Mita Seimenjo

The restaurant is famous for its rich pork bone and seafood soup and extra-thick noodles, but I recommend the light tai-dashi salt tsukemen.

I recommend the light tai-dashi salt tsukemen, which is available in three sizes (small, medium, and large) for the same price. In addition to the regular tsukemen and back fat tsukemen, the restaurant offers a wide variety of seasonal specials.

What is tsukemen?
Tsukemen is a type of ramen in which boiled noodles are dipped in water and then dipped in a separate bowl of “tsuke-dare (dipping sauce)” while eating. The dipping sauce has a stronger flavor than regular ramen soup. After eating the noodles, many restaurants offer “soup-wari,” in which the dipping sauce is mixed with pork or chicken bone broth.

Sea Bream Dashi Salt Tsukemen 880 yen

It is recommended to order “Asuki” (warm noodles) and add vegetable toppings and Mita-sakari (half-boiled egg, bamboo shoots, chashu pork and nori).

You can enjoy every last drop of the remaining soup from the tsukemen by asking for a “soup-wari.”
