Meet 4 First-Time Shops at HOTEL GRAPHY NEZU’s 13th Anniversary GRAPHY GARAGE
HOTEL GRAPHY NEZU is celebrating its 13th anniversary with a special market event — GRAPHY GARAGE – YANESEN TRADITIONAL MARKET — happening on Saturday, May 9 and Sunday, May 10.

This year’s theme is Graphic × Journey × Nostalgic.
Yanesen is a neighborhood where traces of old Tokyo still remain—nostalgic streets, warm local culture, and timeless atmosphere.
For this two-day event, we combine the beauty of traditional Japanese culture with a fresh modern perspective to create an experience unique to this neighborhood.Throughout the hotel, from guest rooms to shared spaces, a variety of unique local shops will gather. As you explore the venue, you’ll discover handmade goods, ceramics, crafts, and items inspired by Japanese tradition.
There’s plenty more too — koto and shakuhachi performances, kamishibai storytelling, and classic festival games offer a fun, easygoing way to experience Japanese culture. Add event-only food and special panel talks into the mix, and you’ve got a packed day of things to see, taste, and do all across the hotel.

Casual Matcha, Made with Care
Nezu no Naka Matcha Stand

About an 11-minute walk from HOTEL GRAPHY Nezu toward Nezu Station, this popular matcha stand is located along the main street.
Its modern wooden exterior is eye-catching, and it’s especially popular with international visitors. Depending on the time of day, you may even find a line outside.
Their concept is:
“Take a pause from your busy days.”
They serve authentic whisked matcha in a relaxed, approachable style.

Their signature Matcha Latte (¥750) is rich and deep in flavor with gentle sweetness.
The Hojicha Latte (¥750) is aromatic and comforting.
They’re also known for their rice flour crepes and gelato.
We tried the Matcha & Black Sesame Gelato (double ¥700) — the nutty richness of black sesame paired perfectly with the slight bitterness of matcha.
At the event, they plan to sell both drinks and gelato.
A perfect stop for a refreshing break while exploring the market.

- Hand-dyed textiles
- Tenugui towels
- Clothing

Further inside, you’ll discover a sake space where you can enjoy tasting flights or have the owner recommend something based on your preferences.

Gifts with a Japanese Touch
AMAZING MOMENTS YANAKA

Our final featured shop is located inside the creative complex Yanaka Apartment.
About a 15-minute walk from HOTEL GRAPHY Nezu and close to Yanaka Cemetery, it’s a lovely stop during a neighborhood stroll.
The bright yellow sign makes it instantly welcoming and hard to pass by.

Inside, you’ll find goods that blend traditional Japanese craftsmanship with contemporary design. Not overly traditional, yet unmistakably Japanese. That balance makes this shop ideal for gifts. Since the event takes place on Mother’s Day weekend, it’s also a perfect chance to find something special for someone you care about.
